The closure of all schools in the Long Beach Unified School District continues through at least May 3 due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. 菠菜网lol正规平台 began offering Home Learning Opportunities yesterday afternoon. Additional Chromebook devices will be available starting tomorrow for students who still need them.

The current Home Learning Opportunities will be ungraded and will support students through Thursday, April 9 (the day before our planned April 10 Admission Day holiday and the planned spring break the following week). These lessons and other resources have been developed to support students’ continued learning in their grade level and/or coursework.

During school closures, students and parents can use the Home Learning Opportunities web page to find resources specific to schools and teachers.  The same webpage also can be accessed via:

  • The Home Learning Opportunities link on the home page at ngskmc-eis.net.
  • The Home Learning Opportunities link on each school website’s home page
  • Directly at ngskmc-eis.net/HLO.

Parents/guardians who still need to obtain a Chromebook tablet for their child must bring the parent/guardian’s photo ID and the student’s school ID badge or student ID number to one of five distribution sites. Distribution will occur from 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25 through Friday, March 27 at these locations:

  • Cabrillo High School, 2001 Santa Fe Ave., Long Beach
  • Hughes Middle School, 3846 California Ave., Long Beach
  • Jordan High School, 6500 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach
  • Lakewood High School, 4400 Briercrest Ave., Lakewood
  • Poly High School, 1600 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach

To find the distribution site that is closest to you, view a map of 菠菜网lol正规平台 school locations here. Instructions on the use of the Chromebook, along with information on low-cost Internet access, will be provided.
